Eligibility to enrol in the PH.D. Program

Education Qualification

Master’s degree with a minimum 65% or 6.5 CGPA out of 10. Candidates who have cleared NET/ GATE or any other equivalent examination would be given preference and would also be eligible to get a monthly fellowship directly from the Ministry of Human Resource, Govt. of India. However, candidates without NET/ GATE would also be eligible for the program, but they won’t be eligible for any kind of monthly fellowship.

Age Requirement

For a Ph.D. program with a fellowship, the age requirement for the candidate would be required as per the eligibility criteria set by different funding agencies (like CSIR, BDT, and MHRD). However, for a Ph.D. program without fellowship, age is not a constraint.
